Recommended Exercise - Standing Shoulder External Rotation at 90 near Wall

Position : Stand

Stand against a wall, rest the back on it, elevate the arms to 90 degrees by the side and bend the elbows to 90 degrees such that hands facing forward.

Form & Movement

Maintain chin tuck, blades set and core set. Breathe out, rotate the arms towards the ceiling keeping the elbows stable. Breathe in, rotate the arm back to starting position. Make sure the blades are in contact with the wall throughout the exercise. Repeat.

Recommended Exercise - PNF-D1 Flexion with Dumbbell

Position : Stand

Stand with feet hip width apart, arm by the side holding the dumbbell, elbow straight and thumb facing away from the body towards the ceiling.

Form & Movement

Maintain chin tuck, blades set and core set. Breathe out, elevate the arm diagonally overhead to the opposite side, bending the elbow and rotating the arm such that thumb pointing towards the floor. Breathe in, lower the arm back to starting position by straightening the elbow and rotating the arm. Repeat.

Recommended Exercise - Mid Angle Arm Side Elevation Isometric

Position : Stand

Stand with feet hip-width apart, elevate the arm to 90 degrees at an angle of 30 degrees from the body with thumb pointing towards the ceiling and elbow straight, place another hand on the forearm just above the wrist.

Form & Movement

Maintain chin tuck, blades set and core set. Breathe in, further elevate the arm against the resistance of another hand. Hold. Breathe in, release and back to starting position. Repeat.

Recommended Exercise - Supine Shoulder Internal Rotation at 90 using Cane

Position : Supine

Lie on the back with feet on the floor, elevate the arm to 90 degrees by your side, elbow bend to 90 degrees and rest your elbow on the towel roll such that hand pointing towards the ceiling holding one end of the cane and the other end by another hand.

Form & Movement

Maintain chin tuck, blades set and core set. Breathe out, using the assistance of another hand and cane rotate the arm towards the foot without moving the elbow position. Breathe in, rotate the arm back to starting position. Repeat.
